Life Programs To
the new family members who joined CFC at the conclusion of St.
Augustine’s 2nd Household CLP we sing Welcome
to the Family ….. we’re glad that you here to share your life with
us…..and to grow in love ..
Big Welcome also to our
Kids for Christ (KFC) members. That's right, just in time for our
7th Anniversary celebrations CFCT&T has launched Kids
for Christ (KFC). It happened at Paramin on Saturday
November 21 with 14 children. More on that in upcoming updates.
Singles
Kayaking ??!! Yes
....our roving reporter went undercover and informs us that SFC T&T
had a whale of a time on Sunday. No details will be publicised
about who fell out of the kayak and whose kayak nearly ended up in
Venezuela but they had a grand time in the Lord and that’s good news. Christmas
CD The
Christmas CD "It's Christmas Time" by members of CFC
together with For Better Christians is now available at $100.00.
The CD was launched last month and copies are now available at Living
Waters on Frederick St. Proceeds go to
charity and it also makes a wonderful gift this Christmas!
SFC
General Assembly On
Sat 11th December our
Singles continue their series on Pro-Life Education and this time all of
CFC is invited to learn how to share and defend the Church's
position on Pro-Life issues. Time
is confirmed as 9:00 am to 3:00
pm so walk with your lunch,,
Venue is St. John’s Parish Hall, St. John’s Village., St.
Augustine. The session on
11th December is entitled “Workers in the Vineyard” and focuses on
skills in defending, sharing and debating pro-life issues.
Teachers
& School Staff Would
all the secondary school teachers and ancillary school staff please
stand up? That’s right
your CFC and YFC leaders need to know who you are and at which schools
you are assigned. So
whether you are at a private or public school or even if you know
another CFC/HOLD/SFC/SOLD member who is a teacher please
submit
name, unit, contact information and school’s name to your
unit leader or Richard & Carla Beckles richard.beckles@bg_group.com.

on FEED Ministry No
it is not about food…. (
Oh gorsh allyuh Trinis eh! ) FEED is
a CFC ministry all about Family
Enrichment & Education and
we are looking for goodly couples to spearhead it locally. CFC’s
Family Enrichment and Education …… (sounds
big eh). But pray about it, think about and e-mail:

you are in the least bit interested. Now while all of FEED’s programs
may
not be needed locally we thought you should know just how wide its
offerings are so maybe we will refer to the official document for this
excerpt: Vision:
FEED
as a welfare ministry of CFC seeks to develop and sustain love and
respect for life, to uphold the dignity of a human person and to
maintain the true vision of family in this changing world. (love,
respect, dignity? We need dat !) Mission:
The
FEED ministry has the following purposes: 1. To
serve the CFC community by providing specialized inputs and support for
the CFC family life renewal ministry, by developing pro-life and
pro-family attitudes among all its members, and by being a training
ground for the continuous education and formation of family life workers.
(

need dat !) 2. To
serve the Church and society by promoting values that are pro-God,
pro-life and pro-family.(We
need dat! ) 3. To
serve the larger community (parishes, local government units,
corporations) by offering practical specialized courses.
(Lord knows ….We need dat !) Areas
of service FEED
Ministry has various areas of service…..providing courses and
activities that are specialized offerings to meet specific needs. 1. Marriage Preparation Program (MPP). (We
need dat !)
* Objective: to prepare couples for marriage (a pre-Cana course).
*
Available for SFC engaged couples in a weekend format, as well as for
CFC and 2. Responsible
parenthood.

* Objective: to foster a deeper understanding of human sexuality
and human love relationship in marriage.
* This caters to the needs of CFC members and other couples in
terms of morally acceptable methods of Responsible Parenthood.
* In particular, the aim is to promote the use of Natural Family
Planning (NFP). 3. Parenting.
(We

* Objective: to equip parents with basic knowledge of effective
parenting skills.
* Family counselling
services.
* Programs for enhancing family relationships. 4. Marriage
tribunal ministry.
(We
need dat !)
* This orients CFC members, especially leaders, about the
validity or invalidity of a
solemnized marriage, for pastoral purposes.
* Guidance and practical help is provided those couples or
individuals who are 5. Counselling.
(We
cyah even say how much we need dat !)
* Actual counselling service for those in need.
AND *
Training of counsellors. 6. The
Gabriel Project.
(Mmmhmm dat too)
* Care for pregnant women in crisis.
* Promotion of foster child care. 7. Galilean
Ministry (We
need dat !)
* Care for persons with disabilities. 8. Ruth’s
Ministry.
(Oh
yes, we could do wid dat !)
* Care for couples in their golden years,
* Care for the aged
* Hospice care center.
9. FEED
Resource Center. (We
need dat too !)
* Support for the pastoral needs of CFC by way of providing a
library of books, Networking FEED
Ministry will network with other ministries and organizations in order
to more effectively accomplish its mission.

Strategic Plans 2005 Did
you ever wonder what leaders do at Strategic Plans Meetings
CFC
Caribbean Conference Countdown 9
months to go and our conference organizers are working at a pace to make
it happen: ..… accommodation, transportation, registration, finance,
hospitality, décor, stage management, food, liturgy, communication,
….and more…..wow! That’s
a lot of work, but they are undaunted because they know that when they
call on us members, our willing response will be “Here I am Lord”.
In fact, why wait to be called?
If you have resources or skills in any area listed above why not

worry about how you will do it; remember the theme for our Caribbean
Conference is "God is
Enough!" CFC
7th Anniversary CFC
7th Anniversary celebrations commence on Monday 17th January
with holy Mass at St. John the Baptist in San Juan and continue all week
long, culminating with Family Day on Sunday23rd January .
All members are invited / requested to be at the various events,
to support, get to know each other and join in the celebrations.
