supposed to be bigger and better, but never did I
imagine that CFC Youth for Christ Youth Conference:
Radical for Christ 2 would be that much bigger and
better". ..." Karryl said "I
think it was a great experience and I was called to be
radical, ... I was really motivated to be much more
radical than I already am, I loved it because it
was totally youth friendly." ..Sounds

Youth Mass in Lopinot
Next
on the YFC events list is YOUTH MASS in LOPINOT
This event promotes meeting other youths,
deepening relationship with God and ..... even food Hmm
all starting with 8:00 am Youth
Mass on May 29 2005 at La Veronica Roman Catholic
Church and continuing throughout the day with a
Praise Fest, local dishes and a taste of the Lopinot
culture, Parang and all.
So get your youths together and come experience
all that in the cool crisp air of Lopinot.

Responsible Parenting Sessions continue
from 9:00a.m-12:00 noon. On June 4th
and July 2nd at the Catholic Centre on
Independence Square.. Other ministries of CFC
are invited.. From all reports the first
session was quite fun and informative. Our undercover
spy reported that there were almost as many guys as
girls in the audience. 
This bodes well for future CFC !!
Main
point: God ordained it so that for the important roles
of our lives, He added pleasure to responsibility.
Thus both pleasure and responsibility go together!!

about that Singles for Christ retreat….. if you
weren’t there on April 29-May 1, you really missed a
Spirit-filled,
powerful, moving experience of God.
The speakers, the ministry, the music, the
fellowship – the entire weekend was the work of God.

participants. ……

Vatican
Decree of April 25, 2005 confirms that CFC is now
permanently recognized by the Vatican as a private
international association of the faithful. This follows on
our previous recognition which was limited to 5 years. May
God bless Pope Benedict XVI .
Faith
Facts
One
of the key ways that Christ is present at the Mass,
by virtue of His divine grace,
is “in the priest” (Sacrosanctum
Concilium Vat II 7)
There
is only one priest, only one mediator (1Tim 2:5-6). The
ordained priest shares in Christ’s priesthood in a
special way. The
priest acts in persona Christi – “in the person of
Christ”. Christ,
as it were, exercises his priesthood through the ordained
priest for our sake.
The vestments the priest wears are a sign of
stepping into a special role.
The “words of institution” – the words spoken
by Jesus when He instituted the Eucharist at the Last
Supper are spoken by the priest: “This is my body…This
is my blood….” Just
like all mankind, priests too are imperfect and sinful.
We can see this from the very beginning of the
Church e.g. Judas’ betrayal and Peter’s denial.
Ordination imparts a charism which functions
regardless of the priest’s personal holiness.
We need to pray for priests: for their protection,
faithfulness to their vocation, holiness and effectiveness
in ministry.
